Saint Paulites don’t just tolerate winter - they embrace it. They celebrate with a myriad of winter sporting events and festivals including America’s oldest and largest winter festival, the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, which dates back to 1886. This community celebration, begun in 1886, continues to bring people of all ages and walks of life together to celebrate winter, fellowship with one another and pride in our community.

Parades, Ice & Snow Sculptures, Hockey, Curling, Figure Skating and the famous Vulcanus Rex and his Krewe are just a few of the coolest activities that can be found during this 10 day event!
